1.      Albert Einstein’s first wife was Mileva Maric (December 19, 1875 – August 4, 1948). She was one of the first women to study mathematics and physics in Europe. Mileva form Serbia was Albert’s schoolmate at the Zurich Polytechnic.

2.      Albert Einstein’s second wife is his cousin Elsa Einstein (January 18, 1876 – December 20, 1936). She had the surname of Einstein at birth but lost it when she took the name of her first husband Max Lowenthal and regained it in 1919 when Elsa married Albert.

3.      The mother of Elsa and the mother of Albert mothers were sisters. Elsa and Albert were first cousins. In addition, their fathers were first cousins too.

4.      Albert’s first son with Mileva is Hans Albert Einstein. He was born on May 14, 1904 and lived up to July 26, 1973.

5.      Hans Albert was a professor in the field of hydraulic engineering at University of California, Berkeley in the US.

6.      Eduard Einstein is Albert’s 2^nd son with Mileva. Eduard was born on July 28, 1910 and died in October 25, 1965. He was born in Zurich, Switzerland.

7.      Eduard was afflicted with schizophrenia at the age of 20 and institutionalized and was ruined by the electric shock treatments.

8.      After his illness struck, Eduard told his father that he hated him. Einstein never saw his son again for the rest of his life

10.  He was stateless for 5 years from 1896 to 1901 and became a Swiss citizen from 1901 to 1011.

11.  The Albert Einstein Award, an award in theoretical physics was established to recognize high achievement in the natural sciences. It was first awarded in 1951 on his 709^th birthday. The award includes prize money of $5,000.

12.  Another award in honor of Einstein is the Albert Einstein Medal for people who rendered outstanding services. It is presented by the Albert Einstein Society in Bern, Switzerland and was first awarded in 1979.

13.  Albert Einstein Peace Prize is a prestigious award given annually by the Albert Einstein Peace Prize Foundation which is based in Chicago, Illinois. The winner of the prize receives $50,000.

14.  The chemical element 99 known as Einsteinium was named for Albert in 1955.

15.  An inner main belt asteroid discovered in 1973 was named 2001 Einstein in his honor too.

16.  A park named Albert Einstein Science Park located in Potsdam, Germany was named also in his honor and the best known building in the park is the Einstein Tower where a bronze bust of Einstein is on display at the entrance.

17.  The Einstein Tower is an astrophysical observatory that was constructed to perform checks of Einsteins theory of General Relativity.

18.  A monumental bronze statue depicting Einstein seated with manuscript papers in hand known as the Albert Einstein Memorial was erected in Washington D.C., USA. It is located at the southwest corner of the grounds of the National Academy of Sciences.

19.  Einstein is a Nobel Peace Prize awardee for Physic in 1922 particularly for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect".

20.  It was said that Einstein gave the Nobel Prize money to Mileva Maric, his first wife, in compliance with their 1919 divorce settlement. However, it was disclosed in 2006 that Albert invested much of it in the United States, and saw much of it wiped out in the Great Depression.

26.  The most famous person whose brain was removed and studied was Albert Einstein. His brain was removed within seven hours of his death. Einstein’s brain was denser and that the inferior parietal lobe was larger than normal brains.

27.  Einstein’s brain had significantly more glial cells in the region of the brain that is responsible for synthesizing information. It also lacked a particular “wrinkle” in the brain called the Sylvian fissure.
